Relaxed Family Session in Downtown Dallas

I was so happy to meet Jeff, Sandy, and their beautiful family.  We headed to downtown Dallas for a relaxed family portrait shoot.  We took advantage of a beautiful day and Karlie, the one year old star of the family, definitely took the show.  It was my last shoot of 2011 and it was an honor to spend it with this family.  They are so photogenic and I had an amazing time with them.  I hope in 2012, I continue to capture such loving families and I definitely hope to capture Karlie again.  Happy 2012!!!

Holiday Cheer

Another holiday season is upon us.  What an incredible year this has been.  Many ups, some downs, but all worth remembering and accepting.  I’m grateful for all of it, mainly because of the people I share my life with.  I have such a great support system, starting with my husband.  His intelligence, patience, and devotion are what I absolutely love and admire about him.  Our son has a wonderful role model, and for that I could not be more grateful.  My mother, who is my constant friend, teacher, and who radiates unconditional love towards her family.  I’m grateful to have her as my role model.  My son, he is simply a light that shines, which brings peace and joy everyday.  His smile inspires me to do what I love to do.  Now I await the arrival of my belly baby, due any day now. I can’t wait to meet him or her.  This whole pregnancy has been so peaceful and calm.  The miracle of life, of God, of love, grows everyday and I’m so excited to finally see the little person I’m already so devoted to.  Holiday Cheer is definitely all around and I truly hope and wish for all who read this, to experience such joy as well.

I’m off on maternity leave until the end of December, so until then, I plan on taking lots of personal family pictures and hopefully sharing with you, many of those memories.  This weekend we bought our Christmas tree at a local tree farm.  It was such a fun experience and it felt very Griswold of us =).  The tree is up and fully decorated, decked out with ornaments, pictures and about 5 dozen colorful, flavorful candy canes.  Candy canes make the best ornaments and it’s fun to see how slowly, one by one, they disappear. Nothing like coming home from a long day and picking a candy cane from the tree.

Here are some images of our holiday cheer around the house, including our sweet little man, Enzo.  Hope you enjoy and Happy Holidays to you and yours!!!!

Samuel is ONE

Samuel, such a big boy name, is very appropriate for this little guy who recently turned the big ONE.  He is taking toddlerhood by storm with his adventurous personality and “no one better try and stop me,” attitude.

I had so much fun chasing Samuel around a big open field.  Plenty of room for the little guy to let his will take him where ever he pleased.  Mom and dad have so much to be proud of, because Samuel is such a joy.

This bottom picture is just so adorable.  Football Calendar Baby..=)

Veronica & Terrence: Engaged

I met with Veronica and Terrence recently in Highland Park, TX.  They arrived looking fantastic with their two very large and very sweet puppies.  First thing I thought when I saw their “babies” was, “I’m so glad I’m not afraid of BIG dogs.”  I was relieved to see just how sweet their pups were.

I have to say, photographing these two was incredibly easy.  Even though Veronica claims to have been a bit nervous, she looked so happy and in love.  Terrence was also really comfortable in front on my lens and with that, the session was tons of fun.  The puppies were extremely well behaved and in the end, we definitely wore them out.

Veronica and Terrence, thank you for coming out and allowing me to capture your love for one another.  Your canine family is adorable and I’m sure it will only get even better for you two.  Congrats again!
